Metabolism is the result of all the processes in our body working together to create the energy that keeps us going. Our metabolism is the rate at which our body’s many processes function, and it can be low, high, or somewhere in the middle. When we were younger, our high metabolism makes it easy to lose weight but as we get older our metabolism slows down and we might put on a few pounds. So, boosting up the metabolism will help in losing weight.
But, in monsoon season, many of us feel tough to lose weight. Because during monsoon our digestion gets weakened, this, in turn, lowers our metabolism and increase fat storage. So let’s check some simple tips to boost our metabolism during monsoon. Exercising helps in boosting metabolism. But during monsoon, we feel lazy to get up in morning and sometimes the weather won’t allow us in the evening if we depend on outdoor activities like jogging, walking etc. But one should make exercise as a part of their day irrespective of the season.
Set a personal goal to keep physically active at least 3 days a week. The monsoon weather tempts all of us to indulge in hot and spicy food and other unhealthy stuff. Avoid all the unhealthy stuff and plan the meals according to the calories required by your body. Most importantly, don’t skip breakfast. Always include protein and Iron rich foods into your diet. Drink plenty of water and water-based drinks such as green tea in monsoon season because it’s helpful in increasing your immunity.
